Ecoo launches new payment method: With "getmycoin", everyone can build their own coin

Ecoo ventures into the next digital revolution with the launch of "getmycoin". The e-coupon system, originally designed for municipalities, is now made accessible to a broad audience with "getmycoin". From now on, anyone can create their own dedicated coin and thus their own payment method.

Following the success of e-vouchers in the city of Wetzikon, Ecoo is taking the next step: with the launch of "getmycoin", the existing e-wallet solution is being expanded and made accessible to all users - whether companies or private individuals. Within a very short time, anyone can launch their own coin and thus their own payment method - the possibilities are endless. A festival organizer can use the coupon system for their food stalls, an insurance company for its loyalty shop, a company for the internal canteen. The coins are made available as credit in a corresponding smartphone app and the operator determines what they can be used for.

Marc van Nuffel, Deputy CEO of Ecoo AG, says: "With "getmycoin", we are providing a new level of service platform that enables everyone to create a payment method for their environment." High-tech at affordable prices in a short time-to-market is what he wants to achieve with the newly launched coin system. "Blockchain technology is excellently suited for this," Nuffel continues.

"getmycoin" is easy to use, the user is relieved of any administrative effort and transactions can be tracked and evaluated in real time. There are no transaction fees, unless they are charged by the ecosystem operator itself. The new payment method is based on the Tezos blockchain, which has an excellent ecological footprint. "We are particularly pleased about this, because sustainability is a central concern for Ecoo but also for the users of our services," says Marc van Nuffel.

"getmycoin" is currently available as a beta version.
